Fundraising efforts for the 2017 MAGS Quiz Night received an unexpected kick start this week with the donation of a high definition television by Noel Leeming in St Lukes mall.
Store manager Mr Jason Fuller and Commercial Specialist Mr Hussain Raja visited the school to present the Platinum 40 Series TV to students Sophia Fox (above left) and Beatrice Santos, who are helping to organise the Quiz Night on 23 June.
This year’s event will raise money for the charity Shine, which helps victims of domestic abuse to be safer, motivates men who hurt their families to change their behaviour, and trains professionals to effectively intervene and support victims of domestic abuse.
Mr Fuller said he was impressed that MAGS students were putting in extra hours to help a charity such as Shine. “I understand it’s not easy raising money and any support can go a long way. I believe in reaching beyond the public who enter our store and supporting our local community whenever we can.”
Sophia and Beatrice thanked Noel Leeming Westfield on behalf of the Quiz Night committee.
