MAGS was delighted with the response from the community to the Student Art Expo on August 15, with people flocking to the F.W. Gamble Hall and snapping up artworks.
Equally delighted were our student artists, who had their works professionally presented, allowing family and friends to see them in their full glory.The community vibe was augmented by our student musicians, who enjoyed performing throughout the day.
The show wouldn’t be possible without the work of our student art leaders, staff and volunteers from the community. A big thank-you to all involved.

Funds raised from the show go towards the Visual Art Department’s Artist in Residence Programme.
This programme brings in prominent, professional artists who talk to students about their process and collaborate with them over several days to help them to create their own artworks.
This continues to be such a valuable experience for our aspiring artists, and the results can be seen in the works that they produce.
