Junior Bytes 2018 showcases diverse talent

On Monday night the Junior Bytes concert celebrated the best of Junior Performing Arts and music with a diverse range of talent performing.
Music items ranged from rock bands to classical piano and choir, with a standout performance from Year 9 singer Viliami Ropati Va’ai.
All Junior Dance classes performed, presenting a range of themes and all performing with expertise and commitment. Mention must be made of the Junior performance group choreographed by students Lulu Qiu and Allie Hawksworth.
For the first time, Spoken word was part of the programme, and the poetry was accompanied by duet choreography by Year 10 NCEA students. The Drama scenes were highly entertaining  and varied and the audience was very appreciative.
As well, work by MAGS promising Junior Visual Artists was displayed in the foyer for the audience to enjoy   At the end of the night, 18 Year 9 students and 28 Year 10 students were awarded a Junior Arts badge in recognition of their excellence in the Arts.
