The Aquatic Academy was established in 2015 to provide an aquatics programme to students.
The programme will provide pathways for students who have chosen competitive swimming, as their sport of choice, and also provide additional aquatic fitness to students who require cardio based fitness training to supplement Triathlon, Water Polo, Canoe Polo, Surf Lifesaving and other aquatic based sports.
Located at Mt Albert Aquatic Centre, one of the finest indoor heated swimming pool and leisure complexes in the country; unequalled by any other school. There is a 25-metre competition pool and a large leisure pool as well as spas, sauna, hydro-slide, equipment shop and cafe.
A programme that is innovative and challenging, enabling students to become champions regionally, nationally and provide a pathway into international competition. Build self-confidence, self-discipline, integrity and courage. Those students in competitive swimming are expected to participate in Zones, Champion of Champions, North Island Secondary School, New Zealand Secondary School and Auckland Swimming and Swimming New Zealand sanctioned meets.
