The
Premier girls set up for this match with a patient approach.
AGGS went 5-2 up in the first quarter but MAGS pulled back to
finish the first quarter 8-8.
Mei-Ling
Refiti moved to Goal Shooter and Tera-Maria moved to GA. This
had an instant impact with some great defensive pressure from
Portia Woodman at WD and fine shooting.
MAGS scored the first 6 goals of the second quarter which
finished with MAGS 18-13 up.
Darrell Leota (capt) moved to GA, Tuanie Keenan to GD and
Lesley Simone came on at GK. Lesley Simone took an intercept
with her first touch and MAGS continued to stick to the task at
hand. MAGS shooters continued to score at 100%.
The
last quarter was going to be tough as AGGS never give up.
Tuaine Keenan worked hard at GD applying pressure to AGGS NZ
U21 Goal Attack. MAGS with their heads up played some clean and
smart netball.
At times some of the attacking work into the circle
demonstrated MAGS ability to play with flair and
passion!
Game
finished in MAGS favour 39-29 putting them tied on points with
EGGS but on top with goal difference.
