North Island Secondary School Championships: September 2009.

105 teams competed, the largest fields being those of junior girls (155) and junior boys (151) Wonderful weather saw us done and dusted and heading home Tues afternoon - we didn't stay around for prizegiving.

Jessica and I had a special time - will be much better next year though when she has some team mates...

Her individual time saw her placed middle of the field (75th) for junior girls - course softened fairly early in the piece.

Dual slalom on day two remained firm resulting in lots of carnage...exciting viewing!! Jessica took the course cautiously and came a close second to her rival.

MAGS overall 'team' placing was 102=!! A little awkward as an individual against teams of five!

It was a great opportunity for Jessica to rub shoulders with ones from other schools and some very talented skiers at that.
