Please note that the uniform shop at the school is independently owned and managed by The Lenco Schoolwear Shop.
This has implications, particularly, for those families who apply for financial assistance from WINZ in order to pay for uniform items. It is important that you secure a quotation from The Lenco Schoolwear Shop for items required and that you inform WINZ that payment for those items must be made to The Lenco Schoolwear Shop and not to the school. Most WINZ branches will have the direct credit details for The Lenco Schoolwear Shop on their records but if they do not, then they should call 838-6164 to obtain the details.
This will save confusion and administration difficulties when you come to the school to obtain the uniform.
THE SCHOOL UNIFORM
Mount Albert
Grammar School is a school with a long history and tradition.
A part of that history and tradition is that MAGS is a
uniform school. There is a requirement that all students will
wear their uniform with pride. This means wearing the uniform
correctly at all times and taking personal presentation
seriously.
The school requires the correct uniform to be worn, in the correct manner, when students are at school, travelling to and from school and while attending school functions away from the school.

Shirt
Grey school polo shirt with embroidered lion emblem, as supplied by the uniform shop. The shirt is to be worn tucked in. T-shirts are not to be worn under the polo shirt.Shorts

Plain, black, leather belt with a plain buckle. This is a compulsory uniform item.Jersey
Navy school jersey with sky blue lion emblem. This is a compulsory item of uniform.Jacket
Navy school jacket with sky blue lion emblem. This is a compulsory uniform item and is the only jacket to be worn when in school uniform. This is an outer-wear garment for inclement weather only.Shoes
Black, leather, lace-up school/dress style shoes (no sports shoe styles).Socks
Black, knee-length socks as supplied by the uniform shop. Socks are to be worn with garters and pulled up to just below the knee.Garters

Black or brown Roman leather sandals. No socks are to be worn with sandals. Sandals are not to be worn with long trousers. Sandals may be worn in Term 1 and Term 4 ONLY.Trousers

The only jewellery allowed is a watch. No other jewellery is to be worn. The school will not take responsibility for lost jewellery. Any jewellery worn with the school uniform will be confiscated. No visible tattoos allowed.PE Uniform
Year 13
Navy short-sleeved t-shirt with sky blue lion emblem and navy shorts as supplied by the uniform shop. These are compulsory uniform items for Years 9 and 10.

NB.
T-shirts are not to be under the polo shirt. It is expected that all items of clothing be clearly named, preferably with the student name and form class.
