Canoe Polo - Auckland Championships
MAGS 1 vs Long Bay1: Won 13-4 - Auckland Secondary School Champions!
MAGS 2 vs Long Bay2: Lost 5-6 - Finished 6th
MAGS 3 vs Northcote Yellow: Won 3-1 - Finished 7th
Conditions at the pool make it hard to photograph. The steam causes a mist which with the naked eye makes it hard to see what is going on at the end of a 25m pool. As the night goes on this becomes more prominent.
National Championships
At the end of Term 1, the MAGS Canoe polo team competed in the National Schools' Championship held in Feilding. Although we didn't do as well as we wanted, it was a great experience for a new team who has been together for only seven weeks.
The team qualified at the regionals held at Hamilton two weeks ago.
